The Vovchenko family lives in the Sarny region of Ukraine. Their family sponsorship is 50% funded, so you can share in sponsoring the family with another supporter with either a $34 or $68 recurring donation (choose below).
The family of nine lives in a 3-room apartment with a kitchen, but no indoor bathroom. The main source of heat for the home is a wood stove, which is also used to cook with, which helps keep the cost of electricity down for the family.
The father, Ruslan, currently works as a wood cutter, and mother Maria stays at home to care for the kids as well as her mother who suffers from Cataracts.
The Vovchenko’s are raising six children – Daryna (13) in grade 8, Artem (12) in grade 7, Yuriy (9) in grade 2, twin two-year old boys Matviy and Andriy, and their newborn girl Veronica.
By sponsoring the Vovchenko family you will be helping provide monthly care packages of food, household, hygiene supplies, as well as practical support and assistance to create opportunities to improve their situation.
With the family participating in Mission Without Borders' family sponsorship program the Vovchenko’s will benefit from Mission Without Borders’ support, counseling, and training as they work to improve their future and deal with the difficulties the war has created.
